Privacy Policy

Habla Conmigo Spanish School is run by Jennifer, a Spanish teacher based in Costa Rica. She is responsible for the personal data you send through this website.

For anything related to your data, write to contacto@habla-conmigo.com.

Contact form: your name, email address, the type of class you are interested in (optional) and your message.

Booking request form: your name, email address, the service you choose, your preferred start date, hours per week or number of weeks, preferred days and time of day, and any notes you add.

Technical data: when you send a form, your IP address is held briefly in the server's memory to stop spam and abuse. It is not written to any database and disappears within minutes. Our hosting provider also keeps short-lived server logs, as any website does.

Visit statistics: we use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies and does not identify you personally.

We do not ask for payment details on this website. Payments are handled by PayPal on its own site.

Only to answer your questions, arrange your classes or stay, and send you the confirmation of your request. We do not send newsletters or marketing emails, and we never sell or rent your data.

The legal basis is your request itself: you send us your details so we can reply and, if you decide to book, provide the classes you asked for.

Vercel (hosting of this website and visit statistics).

Resend (delivery of the emails generated by the forms).

Google Gmail (the inbox where Jennifer receives and answers your messages).

PayPal (payments, only if you book), and WhatsApp (only if you choose to contact us that way). Each of these follows its own privacy policy.

Some of these providers store data in the United States. They are established companies that offer standard safeguards for international transfers.

Your messages and booking requests are kept as emails for as long as we are in contact and for up to 2 years afterwards, in case you come back for more classes. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time.

You can ask to see the data we have about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to contacto@habla-conmigo.com and we will reply within 10 business days.

These rights are recognized by Costa Rica's Law 8968 on the Protection of Personal Data and, if you live in the European Union, by the GDPR. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the data protection authority in your country (in Costa Rica, PRODHAB).

This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. If you switch between light and dark mode, that preference is saved in your own browser so the site remembers it; it never leaves your device.
